A taste of spring

Today, on the penultimate day of February, with the first round of truly good weather of the year here in dark Berlin, 18C and sunshine, I’m thinking about the Chinese title of Wong Kar Wai’s “Happy Together” - 春光乍洩, an idiom, “Spring sunshine emerges to bring the world alive”, literally, “to give a glimpse of something intimate” (one’s underwear? A nipple flash perhaps?)

Nothing like spring to make you feel young and put a little bit of heat in your blood. I hope we’ll all be catching little glimpses of spring sunshine to bring our worlds alive soon…
